둘라밤 Durlabham

둘라밤 (Durlabham) 은 록, 재즈, 아시아 음악을 아우르며 독창적인 음악 세계를 펼쳐내는 밴드이다. ‘둘라밤’은 고대 산스크리트어로 ‘인간’을 뜻하며, ‘얻기 힘든 기회’라는 의미를 담고 있다. 인간으로 태어나는 것은 8,400,000번의 윤회를 거쳐야 가능한 소중한 인연이라는 철학적 의미를 지니며, 여섯 명의 뮤지션이 만나 만들어낸 특별한 음악적 결실이 바로 둘라밤이다.

멤버는 보컬 임태웅, 베이스 오원석, 드럼 한인집, 퍼커션·신디사이저 안상욱, 기타 고재현, 그리고 한국을 대표하는 시타르 연주자 한샘바위로 구성된다. 이들은 고래야, 경기남부재즈, 멋진인생 등 다양한 무대에서 검증된 실력파 뮤지션들로, 록의 에너지와 재즈의 자유로움, 아시아 음악의 깊이를 융합한다.

둘라밤의 음악은 단순히 전통과 현대를 결합하는 것을 넘어, 아시아 음악의 새로운 가능성을 제시한다. 비정형적이면서도 울림 있는 보컬, 그리고 신비한 소리로만 소비되지 않는 시타르의 확장된 연주는 기존의 음악적 틀을 넘어선다. 이는 “아시아 팝의 부상 속에서 또 다른 색채를 길어 올린 시도”라는 평가를 받으며, 동시대 음악에 신선한 활력을 불어넣고 있다.

Durlabham is a band that bridges rock, jazz, and Asian music into a unique sonic universe. The name Durlabham, derived from ancient Sanskrit, means “human” and “a rare opportunity.” According to Buddhist philosophy, to be born human requires 8.4 million cycles of reincarnation—thus, the band itself is a testament to a rare and precious encounter between six musicians.

The members include vocalist Tae-woong Lim, bassist Won-seok Oh, drummer In-jib Han, percussionist & synthesizer player Sang-uk Ahn, guitarist Jae-hyun Ko, joined by Korea’s leading sitar player Sam-bawi Han. Each has been active in acclaimed groups such as Goreya, Gyeonggi Nambu Jazz, and Wonderful Life, and together they deliver a refined yet powerful performance.

Durlabham’s sound transcends the simple fusion of tradition and modernity. With unrestrained yet resonant vocals and sitar performance that goes beyond its exotic perception, the band challenges the aesthetic conservatism of Asian music. Critics note that they “draw out a new spectrum of Asian music in the rise of Asian pop—infusing wit and tension while breaking away from Orientalist tropes.”

청강창극단 Cheonggang Changgeuk Company

청강창극단은 2015년에 설립된 전통국악 기반의 창작 창극 전문예술단체로, 전남 장성군 북이면을 기반으로 활동하며 호남 지역을 대표하는 창극단이다.

‘청강’이라는 이름은 창단자 박세연의 스승이었던 청철호 선생의 호에서 따온 것이다. 대표 박세연은 국가무형문화재 「심청가」 이수자이자, 2016년 전국국악대회 대통령상을 수상한 실력파 예술가로, 전통의 깊이를 바탕으로 새로운 창극의 길을 열고 있다.

주요 작품으로는 우리읍내, 조선의 눈동자, 효녀청, 홍길동 등이 있으며, 2024년에는 문화체육관광부 지역대표예술단체로 선정되었고, 2025년에는 공연장협력상주지원사업에 이름을 올렸다.

청강창극단은 전통과 창작을 아우르며, 지역사회와 예술적 연대를 실천하는 모범적인 예술단체로 평가받고 있다.

Cheonggang Changgeuk Company is a professional creative changgeuk troupe founded in 2015, rooted in traditional Korean music and drama. Based in Bukui-myeon, Jangseong, Jeollanam-do, the company has established itself as a leading representative of the Honam region.

The name Cheonggang was taken from the pen name of master Cheong Cheol-ho, the teacher of the troupe’s founder, Seyeon Park. As the company’s director, Park is a designated trainee of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Simcheongga and the recipient of the Presidential Award at the 2016 National Gugak Competition, demonstrating both artistic mastery and leadership.

Its notable works include Our Town, The Eyes of Joseon, Filial Daughter Cheong, and Hong Gildong. In recognition of its achievements, the company was selected as a “Regional Representative Arts Organization” by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2024, and in 2025 joined the Theater Residency Support Program.

Cheonggang Changgeuk Company continues to bridge tradition and innovation, fostering artistic solidarity with the community while shaping the future of Korean changgeuk.

KOMUST 

KOMUST는 인간과 비인간, 예술과 기술의 경계를 실험하는 미디어 아트 그룹이다.

구성원은 문현우, 김거대, 오경식이며, 생성형 AI, VFX, 메타버스 등 최첨단 기술을 활용하여 인간과 기술의 상호작용을 주제로 한 작업을 진행한다. 최근에는 “인간 문명의 발전과 기술: 인간과 비인간”이라는 주제로 워크숍을 진행하며, 인공지능이 인간 언어를 어떻게 해석하고 시각화하는지를 실험한다. 동시에 전통 회화를 현대적으로 재해석하여 미디어 아트 콘텐츠로 확장하는 시도도 병행하고 있다.

KOMUST는 가상과 현실을 넘나들며, 기술 환경 속에서 인간의 감각과 정체성을 탐색하는 예술적 실험을 이어가고 있다.

KOMUST is a media art group that experiments with the boundaries between human and non-human, and between art and technology. Comprised of Hyunwoo Moon, Geodae Kim, and Kyungsik Oh, the group works with cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI, VFX, and the metaverse to explore human–technology interaction.

Most recently, the group conducts a workshop titled “Human Civilization and Technology: Human and Non-Human,” investigating how artificial intelligence interprets and visualizes human language. They simultaneously reinterpret traditional painting in a contemporary context and expand it into media art content.

KOMUST continues its artistic exploration across virtual and real realms, seeking to probe the human senses and identity within technological environments.

고근호 Ko Geun-ho 

고근호는 조선대학교 미술대학을 졸업하고 동 대학원에서 미술교육학 석사를 취득한 정크아트·팝아트 조각가이다. 그는 폐자전거, 시계 등 일상의 폐기물을 재료로 삼아 새로운 조형언어를 만들며, 알루미늄과 원색을 활용한 로봇·영웅 캐릭터 조각으로 유머와 풍자를 담아낸다.

독일 쾰른을 비롯해 서울, 뉴욕, 도쿄, 홍콩, 싱가포르 등 주요 아트페어에 참여했으며, 로봇아트팩토리–진보와 공존 (2020, 세종문화회관), 백남준, 고근호, 왕지원전 (2016, AK플라자) 등 다수의 전시에 참여해왔다. 그의 작품은 초·중등 미술 교과서에도 수록되었다.

2025년 SIEAF에서는 전통 도깨비 가면을 현대적으로 해석한 신작을 선보인다.

Ko Geun-ho is a sculptor who graduated from Chosun University and earned a master’s degree in Art Education. Known for his junk art and pop-art sculptures, he repurposes discarded objects into new forms, and creates aluminum robot and hero figures in bold colors that blend humor with social critique.

Ko has exhibited internationally, including art fairs in Cologne, Seoul, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. His major shows include Robot Art Factory – Progress and Coexistence (Sejong Center, 2020) and Nam June Paik, Ko Geun-ho, Wang Ji-won (AK Plaza, 2016). His works are also featured in Korean school art textbooks.

송춤새 Song Chum-Sae  

송춤새는 한국 전통 춤의 아름다움을 현대의 감성으로 풀어내는 무용가이자, 즉흥성과 정서를 몸의 언어로 표현하는 예술가이다. 그녀는 ‘몸을 두드리면 침묵이 열린다’는 철학을 바탕으로, 순간과 공간, 관객과의 호흡이 살아 있는 춤을 창조한다.

대표작 죽비춤은 전통 유산인 죽비를 도구로 삼아 한 순간의 침묵을 깨우는 울림을 만들어내는 창작무용이다. 이는 그녀의 교통사고 후 삶을 재건하게 한 춤이기도 하며, 종묘제례악 ‘일무’ 이수자로서 쌓아온 전통 춤의 깊이에서 탄생한 작품이다.

송춤새는 현재 ‘춤새무용단’ 대표로 활동하며, 아름다운 자연 속 옥천 이원면에서 남편과 함께 귀촌해 생활하며 춤과 환경, 정서가 어우러지는 작업을 이어가고 있다.

Song Chum-Sae (Min-sook Song) is a Kor​ean traditional dancer​ and choreographer who brings emotions and improvisation to life through the language of the body. Guided by the philosophy that “when the body is struck, silence opens,” she creates dances that resonate with the moment, space, and audience.

Her signature piece, Jukbi Dance, uses the traditional bamboo percussion tool jukbi to awaken a moment of silence through resonance. This work emerged from her reconstruction of life after a serious traffic accident and draws deeply from her training as an Ilmu performer in Jongmyo Jeryeak (Royal Shrine Ritual Dance)

서은선 Seo Eun‑sun   

서은선은 회화, 미디어아트, 설치, AI 디지털 아트를 넘나드는 다매체 시각예술가이다. 20여 년간 순수 회화 작업에 몰입하다 아트테크놀로지를 만나 인간과 기술의 협업을 탐구한다. 그녀의 작업은 초연결 시대에 드러나는 인간관계의 취약성과 감정을 중심으로 한다. 대표작으로 《생의 유약》과 《촉화 관계》가 있으며, 이는 AI 기술과 손의 감성을 결합한 작품이다.

2023년 광주미디어아트페스티벌에서 시민공모전 부문에 팀으로 참여하여 최우수상을 수상하고, 광주문화재단의 국제 미디어아트 레지던시에도 입주작가로 선정되어 활발히 활동하고 있다.

Seo Eun‑sun is a multi-disciplinary visual artist working across painting, media art, installation, and AI digital art. After over two decades dedicated to traditional painting, she explores the collaboration between humans and technology through art-tech. Her work focuses on emotional fragility and human relationships in the hyper-connected era. Signature works include The Fragility of Life (생의 유약) and Incendiary Relations (촉화 관계), which combine AI technology with tactile, hand-driven sensibilities.

In 2023, Seo participates in the citizen media art contest at the Gwangju Media Art Festival as part of a team and wins the Grand Prize. She also joins the International Media Art Residency through the Gwangju Cultural Foundation, actively continuing her creative practice.

김석균 & 양향진  Kim Seok‑gyun & Yang Hyang‑jin    

몸과 움직임, 그리고 전통 민속학을 결합해 도깨비 굿과 같은 전통 공연예술을 재현하고 탐구하는 팀이다.

김석균은 전 창작극회 예술감독, 전 전주 산조축제 자문위원, 전 또랑광대 콘테스트 예술감독, MBC <마녀들의 포레스트>와 CBS <공간의 재발견> 패널을 역임하고, 현재 몸과 움직임 연구자로 활동한다.

양향진은 고전·민속학 박사로, 1997년 한국농악명인(한국문화재보호재단), 2000년 신진전통예술인(한국문예진흥원), 2001년 전통예술신지식인(제2건국위원회)으로 선정되었으며, 전 명신대학교 전통공연예술학과 교수, 광양버꾸놀이보존회 이사장으로 활동한다.

이들은 우리의 도깨비를 서양이나 일본의 귀신과는 전혀 다른 존재로 이해하며, 친근하고 익살스러운 도깨비의 성격을 굿을 통해 표현한다. 마을의 어려움이 생기면 여인들이 나서 도깨비 굿을 벌이고, 재주보다는 한마음으로 박자를 맞추며 소리를 내어 악을 막고 생명을 상징하는 힘을 실현한다. 마지막으로 500년 넘게 마을과 함께한 당산나무 할매에게 기원하며, 마을 사람들이 평화롭고 안정된 삶을 이어가도록 한다.

굿은 이렇게 우리의 삶 속에서 흐르고 있다.

Kim Seok‑gyun + Yang Hyang‑jin are a team exploring traditional Korean performance arts, combining movement research and classical folklore studies to reinterpret rituals such as the Dokkaebi Gut.

Kim Seok‑gyun serves as a movement researcher and previously holds roles including artistic director of the Changchakgeukhoe, advisor to the Jeonju Sanjo Festival, director of the Ttorang Kwangdae Contest, and panelist on MBC <Witches’ Forest> and CBS <Rediscovery of Space>.

Yang Hyang‑jin, a scholar of classical and folk studies, is recognized as a Master of Korean Nongak (1997), a New Traditional Artist (2000), and a Traditional Arts Intellectual (2001). She previously teaches at Myungshin University, Department of Traditional Performing Arts, and serves as chairman of the Gwangyang Beokku Play Preservation Society.

They interpret Korean dokkaebi as playful and mischievous, unlike Western or Japanese spirits, and bring this character to life in Dokkaebi Gut performances. When villages face hardship, local women conduct the ritual, focusing on collective rhythm and sound rather than technical skill, channeling the symbolic life force inherent in the practice. Finally, they honor the 500-year-old sacred Dangsan tree, praying for peace and stability for the community.

Through their work, the ritual flows seamlessly into contemporary life.

이상호 Lee Sang-Ho     

이상호는 바디퍼커션 아티스트이자 교육자로서, 2007년부터 몸을 악기로 삼아 리듬을 창조하고 나누는 활동을 국내외에서 활발히 이어오고 있다. 그는 홍콩, 마카오, 런던 등지에서 공연하며, 《불후의 명곡》, 《나는 가수다》, 《무한도전》, 《런닝맨》 등 다양한 방송에 출연하여 대중과도 깊이 호흡하고 있다.

그의 퍼포먼스는 2008년 문화체육관광부 대한민국 넌버벌 퍼포먼스 대상, 2015년 레드불 WEPLAY 대상을 수상하며 국내외에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

현재 그는 바디퍼커션을 기반으로 공연, 자격증 과정, 융합 예술 워크숍, 직업 기반 창작 등 다양한 형식의 교육 활동을 기업, 단체, 대학 등에서 활발히 펼치고 있으며, "누구나 자신의 몸이 곧 악기다"라는 철학을 중심으로, 몸과 일상에서 출발하는 리듬 예술의 새로운 생태계를 만들어가고 있다.

Lee Sang-Ho, known by his stage name 산, is a body percussion artist and educator who has been actively creating and sharing rhythms using his body since 2007. He has performed in Hong Kong, Macau, and London, and has appeared on various television programs such as Immortal Songs, I Am a Singer, Infinite Challenge, and Running Man, deeply engaging with the public.

His performances have received high acclaim both domestically and internationally, winning the 2008 Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Non-Verbal Performance Award and the 2015 Red Bull WEPLAY Award.

Currently, he conducts various educational activities based on body percussion, including performances, certification courses, interdisciplinary art workshops, and vocational-based creation, actively engaging with corporations, organizations, and universities. Centered around the philosophy that "everyone's body is an instrument," he is creating a new ecosystem of rhythm art that originates from the body and everyday life.

송지용 Song Ji-yong      

송지용은 역사적·의미 있는 공간에서 몸짓 워크숍이나 퍼포먼스를 진행하는 아티스트이자 워크숍 리더이다. 그는 한국 사상과 수행을 기반으로 움직임을 탐구하며, 전통 무예인 택견을 움직임의 기초로 삼는다. 또한, 동학의 검무(칼춤)과 정역의 영가무도(소리움직임명상)를 현대적 워크숍과 퍼포먼스로 응용한다.

그는 태국에서 시작된 댄스만달라(Dance Mandala), 그리고 과테말라에서 터득한 접촉 기반 즉흥기술인 Contact Beyond Contact를 워크숍으로 안내한다. 한 예로, 이너시티 합정에서 진행되는 그의 댄스만달라 워크숍은 참가자들이 몸의 지혜와 내면의 감각으로 깊은 몰입과 치유를 경험하게 한다. 사람들은 흔히 “머리로 생각하는 것을 넘어 몸으로 생각하는 경험”이라 표현한다.

Song Ji-yong is an artist and workshop facilitator who leads movement performances and workshops in historically and symbolically significant locations. He bases his practice on Korean philosophy and contemplation, drawing on the traditional martial art Taekkyeon as the foundation of his movement. He also reimagines Donghak’s Sword Dance (Geommu) and Jeongyeok’s Yeonggamudo (sound-movement meditation) in contemporary workshops and performances.

He guides participants through Dance Mandala, a form of dance meditation originating in Thailand, and Contact Beyond Contact, an improvisational contact technique learned in Guatemala. For instance, his Dance Mandala workshops at InnerCity Hapjeong invite participants to experience deep immersion and healing through embodied awareness—what participants often describe as “thinking with the body rather than the mind.”

서화영 Seo Hwa-Young     

서화영(Hwa Young Seo)은 시카고 North Park University와 Northwestern University에서 피아노를 전공하고, 시카고·뉴욕·서울에서 독주회를 가진 피아니스트이자 작곡가이다.

2019년부터 서울 토이피아노 앙상블 멤버로 활동하며 현대음악 연주와 작곡을 병행하고 있으며, 음악동화 《개구리 루푸》의 작곡을 맡아 매년 무대에 올리고 있다. 또한 극단 피악과 협업하여 《카라마조프의 형제》 등 연극음악을 작곡·연주한다.

2022년 뉴욕과 프린스턴에서 자작곡 중심의 리사이틀을 열었고, 피아노 솔로 작품 〈Unleashed〉로 Fidelio 국제 콩쿠르 파이널리스트에 선정되었다. 현재는 국제 현대음악 페스티벌 무대, 즉흥연주 그룹 ‘불가사리’, 그리고 퍼포먼스 아트 프로젝트 등으로 활동 영역을 확장하고 있다.

Hwa Young Seo is a pianist and composer who studied piano performance at North Park University and Northwestern University, giving solo recitals in Chicago, New York, and Seoul.

Since 2019, she has been a member of the Seoul Toy Piano Ensemble, performing contemporary works and composing the annual musical tale “Rupu the Frog.” She also collaborates with the theater group PIAC, creating music for productions such as “The Brothers Karamazov.”

In 2022, she presented recitals in New York and Princeton featuring her own works, and her piano solo “Unleashed” was selected as a finalist at the Fidelio International Piano Composition Competition. She is currently active in international contemporary music festivals, the improvisation group Bulgasari, and performance art projects.

김찬수 Kim Chan-su      

김찬수는 2008년 1인 극단 김찬수 마임컴퍼니를 창단하며 거리와 무대, 축제를 넘나드는 활동을 이어가는 크라운 마임 아티스트이자 저글러이다. 그는 마임을 기반으로 국내외 무대에서 독창적인 퍼포먼스를 선보이며, 최근에는 서커스와 마임을 융합한 판토마임 장르로 넌버벌 공연의 저변을 확장하고 있다.

대표작 《블랙클라운》은 대사 없이 몸으로만 전달되는 무언극으로, 마임과 저글링, 외발자전거 묘기, 코미디, 관객 참여가 어우러진 다채로운 서커스 퍼포먼스이다. 까칠해 보이지만 유쾌한 ‘서커스 광대’는 남녀노소 누구에게나 즐거운 경험을 선사하며, 이 작품은 아시아와 유럽 무대에서도 활발히 공연되고 있다.

Kim Chan-su is a crown mime artist and juggler who founded the one-man troupe Kim Chan-su Mime Company in 2008. He continues to perform across streets, stages, and festivals, presenting original mime-based works, and recently expands non-verbal performance by blending circus and mime.

His signature work, “Black Clown,” is a pantomime without dialogue that combines mime, juggling, unicycle stunts, comedy, and audience interaction. The grumpy yet humorous “circus clown” offers joy to audiences of all ages, and the piece continues to be performed actively across Asia and Europe.

이순남 Lee Soon-nam      

이순남은 시인으로 활동하면서 “시는 어떻게 읽어야 하는가”를 강의하는 언어 교육자이자, 싱잉볼을 연주하며 생각을 비우고 감정을 흘려보내는 싱잉볼 마스터이다. 그는 또한 예술인들과 함께 아름다운공동체를 운영하며, 저소득층 자녀들의 문화적 소질을 개발할 수 있도록 지원하는 교육적·사회적 활동을 함께 이어가고 있다. 2024년에는 SIEAF 프로그램 ‘몸시 퓨전콘서트'를 진행하며, 시와 음악, 몸의 조화를 통해 새로운 감성 경험을 선사하는 예술적 시도를 펼치고 있다.

Lee Soon-nam is a poet who lectures on “how to read poetry” and serves as a singing bowl master, using her performances to clear thoughts and let emotions flow. She also leads an artist collective called Beautiful Community, which supports the cultural and creative development of children from low-income families through arts education. In 2024, she leads the “Body Poetry Fusion Concert” as part of the SIEAF program, offering an artistic experience that harmonizes poetry, music, and the body.

로즈박 Rose Park       

로즈박은 설치미술가이자 퍼포먼스 아티스트이며 조형예술가이다. 그녀는 스스로를 생명의 작가라고 정의하며, 꽃을 통해 여성의 근원과 생명의 순환을 표현한다. 작품에서 빛은 생명의 탄생과 존재의 근원을 상징한다는 설명을 덧붙인다 천지일보.

그녀가 일관되게 추구하는 생명에 대한 가치는 한지, 공간 구성, 꽃, 미디어를 활용한 입체적 퍼포먼스로 드러난다. 꽃을 의인화한 그녀의 행위는 관객을 미지의 세계로 이끌며, 시공간을 초월하는 경험 속에서 존재에 대한 경외심과 자아 인식을 불러일으킨다. 로즈박은 질문을 던지는 예술가로 모든 것을 설명하지 않으며, 관객은 그녀의 퍼포먼스를 통해 천 가지 해답 속에서 각자의 이야기를 만들어 간다.

최근에는 탄자니아산 보석과 한지 작품을 결합한 작품으로 ‘한지, 아프리카를 품다’ 전시를 진행하며, 이 협업이 한국과 아프리카, 생명과 변화의 메시지를 담아낸다는 평가를 받는다.

Rose Park is an installation and performance artist as well as a sculptural artist. She defines herself as an artist of life, expressing the origins of femininity and the cycle of life through flowers. She emphasizes that in her work, light symbolizes the birth of life and the source of existence 천지일보.

Her consistent pursuit of the value of life manifests in three-dimensional performances using hanji (traditional Korean paper), spatial arrangements, flowers, and media. By personifying flowers in her actions, she guides audiences into the unknown, prompting transcendent experiences that evoke awe toward existence and self-awareness. Rose Park poses questions through her art rather than offering complete answers, allowing each viewer to generate their own story from myriad possibilities.

Recently, she presented "Hanji Embracing Africa," a work that combines Tanzanian gemstones and hanji, conveying a profound message of life, transformation, and cross-cultural connection between Korea and Africa.

박석주 Rose Park       

박석주는 폭넓은 음색 스펙트럼을 지닌 기타리스트이자 작곡가이며, 주스프로젝트 대표이자 음악감독이다. 그는 국악계와 현대무용계에서 섬세하고 깊이 있는 연주로 높은 평가를 받으며, 전통과 현대를 관통하는 울림으로 치유와 위로의 메시지를 전하는 예술가이다.

그가 창작한 기타 산조는 독보적인 음색과 장단에 기반하여 구성되며, 국악계에서 창의적이고 탁월한 시도로 인정받고 있다. 즉흥음악에 대한 새로운 비전을 탐구하며, 문학·철학·예술이 공존하는 인문학적 음악세계를 꾸준히 연구하고 있다. 그는 창극, 연극, 뮤지컬 등의 음악감독으로 활동하며, 전통 및 현대 무용가들과 협업하여 몸의 움직임에 깊이 공감하는 연주자로 알려져 있다.

최근에는 무용가 홍신자 선생과 함께 '아리랑'에 대한 탐구를 진행하고 있으며, 강은일·박석주·노선택·김동원과 함께 IAM 프로젝트라는 실험적 음악세계의 새로운 가능성을 열어가는 그룹을 결성하여 활동하고 있다.

Park Seok-ju is a guitarist, composer, and music director, serving as the head of the Juice Project. He is celebrated in the realms of traditional Korean music (gugak) and contemporary dance for his nuanced and profound performances, which convey healing and solace through a blend of tradition and modernity.

His original Guitar Sanjo works are built on distinctive timbres and rhythmic structures and are recognized in the gugak community for their creativity and excellence. He continually explores new visions for improvisational music and delves into a humanistic musical world that intersects literature, philosophy, and the arts. As a music director, he works across theater, musical, and changgeuk, and is known for his deep empathy with bodily movement through collaborations with both traditional and contemporary dancers.

임택준 Im Taek-jun

Im Taek-jun is a “total artist” and performance artist who works across painting, installation, drawing, performance, and documentary video. He explores the intersections of body and mind, space and thought, and practices art as a “process” through 29 solo exhibitions and numerous performances in Korea and abroad.

His performance <Black>, staged in a wildfire site, inscribed a circle of life among the ashes of burnt trees, while his painting series <GAP> visualizes gaps and boundaries through transparent helmets and bold brushstrokes. His drawings capture fleeting emotions in lines, and his performances leave traces of the body upon time and space.

Recently, at the “Empty House Studio” in Gwangju’s Dong-gu Art Street, he presented the improvisational collaborative performance Dialogue with Nietzsche, expanding his practice as a performance artist. This work carries meaning as an embodied expression where immediacy, improvisation, and contemplation converge.

He states, “I just want to play,” carrying art forward as play, reflection, and the living gesture of the present.

한영애 Han Young-ae

As a fourth-generation performance artist, she transforms traditional gut motifs—including the five colors, purification, and releasing of regrets—into distinctly modern performances.

최준 Choi Jun         

최준은 피아노 병창의 창시자이자 피아니스트, 작곡가로 활동하고 있다. 그는 2010년, 한국 전통 성악곡(판소리, 단가, 민요, 정가)의 한 대목을 노래하면서 피아노를 직접 연주하는 장르인 피아노 병창을 세계 최초로 창안하였다. 이후 피아노 병창 | 최준은 2025년까지 총 21회의 개인 연주회와 8장의 정규 앨범을 발매하며 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다.

그는 판소리 5바탕 중 <춘향가>와 <흥보가>의 눈대목을 피아노 병창 곡으로 재구성하여 무대에 올렸으며, 2025년 11월 8일(토)에는 서울 돈화문국악당에서 <적벽가>를 주제로 한 22번째 연주회를 진행할 예정이다.

특히 그는 섬진강국제실험예술제에 참가하여 전라남도 곡성의 자연과 문화적 아름다움을 음악으로 표현하였다. 대표곡으로는 <실험예술가의 꿈>(김백기 감독 헌정곡), <동화정원>, <순자강 출렁출렁>, <제월섬>, <강빛 마을 별이 반짝반짝>, <곡성 기차마을> 등이 있으며, 곡성의 풍경과 정서를 담은 작업을 지속적으로 진행하고 있다.

Choi Jun is the creator of Piano Byeongchang, a pianist, and composer. In 2010, he invents Piano Byeongchang, a genre in which a passage from Korean traditional vocal music (Pansori, Danga, Minyo, Jeongga) is sung while the piano is played simultaneously. Since then, Piano Byeongchang | Choi Jun holds a total of 21 solo recitals and releases 8 studio albums by 2025.

He arranges passages from <Chunhyangga> and <Heungboga> as Piano Byeongchang pieces for performance, and on November 8, 2025, he performs the 22nd recital themed on <Jeokbyeokga> at Seoul Donhwamun Traditional Music Hall.

Choi Jun also participates in the Seomjingang International Experimental Art Festival, expressing the natural and cultural beauty of Gokseong, Jeollanam-do through music. Representative works include <The Dream of an Experimental Artist> (dedicated to director Kim Baek-gi), <Fairy Tale Garden>, <Sunjagang Flowing>, <Jaewol Island>, <Stars Shining in Gangbit Village>, and <Gokseong Train Village>, continuing his ongoing projects inspired by the landscapes and spirit of Gokseong.

박토벤 Park Toven        

박토벤(본명 박원)은 가슴으로 노래하는 감미로운 목소리의 소유자이자 팝페라 가수이다. 그는 전국 생활음악 콩쿨 최고상, 성악 콩쿨대회 14회 수상, KBS 전국노래자랑 최우수상 등 다양한 노래 경연대회에서 총 23회의 수상을 통해 실력을 인정받았다.

그는 곡성 장미축제, 함평 국화축제 등 각종 지역 축제에 매년 100회 이상 출연하며, 광주MBC, KBS 라디오와 TV 등에서 그의 공연을 자주 만날 수 있다. 이러한 활동을 통해 그는 '박토벤'이라는 별칭으로 불리고 있다.

Park Toven (real name Park Won) is a popera singer known for his sweet voice that sings with heart and empathy. He has been recognized for his skills by winning a total of 23 awards, including the Grand Prize at the National Folk Music Competition, 14 awards at various vocal competitions, and the Grand Prize at the KBS National Singing Contest.

He performs at over 100 regional festivals annually, including the Gokseong Rose Festival and Hampyeong Chrysanthemum Festival, and his performances can often be seen on Gwangju MBC, KBS Radio and TV. Through these activities, he is affectionately known as 'Park Toven'.

김웅 Kim Woong        

김웅은 산내들 이색 악기연구소·산내들 공방 대표이자 악기 제작자이자 연주자이다. 그는 20여 종의 악기를 직접 제작하고 연주하며 지도하고 있으며, 세계 각국의 관악기를 연구하고 우리 정서에 맞게 개량하여 새롭게 제작한다. 제작한 악기를 가지고 20개국에서 공연을 진행하였고, 올해는 대한민국 문화사절단으로 초청되어 몽골에서 무대에 설 예정이다.

그는 17년간 오카리나, 대금, 소금 등 3,000여 개의 악기를 직접 제작하고 연주하며, 학생과 문화인들에게 대금을 직접 가르친다. 또한, MBC, SBS 등 방송에 출연하고, 매년 100회 이상의 공연과 언론사 기고를 이어간다.

Kim Woong is the director of Sannaedeul Unique Instrument Lab and Sannaedeul Workshop, as well as an instrument maker and performer. He creates, performs, and teaches over 20 types of instruments, researching wind instruments from around the world and adapting them to suit Korean sensibilities. He has performed in 20 countries with the instruments he made, and this year, he is invited as part of the Korean Cultural Delegation to perform in Mongolia.

Over the past 17 years, he has crafted and played more than 3,000 instruments, including ocarinas, daegeum, and sogeum, and teaches daegeum to students and cultural practitioners. He also appears on MBC and SBS broadcasts, performing over 100 times annually and contributing to media publications.

고명숙 Ko Myung-sook

에코 알프스(Eco Alps)는 요들을 사랑하는 음악인들이 모여 2023년에 창단한 요들 전문 단체이다. 이들은 알프스의 전통적인 정서를 담은 다양한 악기 연주와 함께 요들 특유의 맑고 경쾌한 선율을 선사하며, 전통과 현대를 넘나드는 레퍼토리로 관객과 소통하고 있다. 국내에서 보기 드문 요들 앙상블로 주목받고 있다.

단순한 공연을 넘어, 지역사회를 위한 재능기부 봉사활동에도 적극적으로 참여하며 ‘음악으로 함께 숨 쉬는 공동체’를 실현하고자 한다. 복지시설, 지역행사, 문화축제 등을 무대로 삼아 요들의 매력을 널리 알리고 있으며, 요들링을 매개로 자연과 사람, 문화를 잇는 따뜻한 음악적 다리를 놓고 있다.

Eco Alps is a yodeling ensemble founded in 2023 by musicians who share a love for yodeling. They offer clear and lively melodies unique to yodeling, accompanied by a variety of instruments that capture the traditional Alpine spirit, including alphorn, cowbells, accordion, flute, contrabass, and synthesizer. Their repertoire bridges tradition and modernity, engaging audiences and making them a notable presence as a yodel ensemble rarely seen in Korea.

Beyond mere performances, they actively participate in community service through talent donation, aiming to realize a 'community breathing together through music'. They showcase the charm of yodeling at welfare facilities, local events, and cultural festivals, building a warm musical bridge that connects nature, people, and culture through yodeling.

전영국 Jeon Yeong-guk        

전영국은 두루미과학예술센터 대표이자 순천대학교 환경융합예술학과 교수로 활동 중이다. 그는 <순천 새꽃춤>, <거믄두루미의 고백>, <모션캡쳐 기반의 흑두루미춤> 등 다수의 창작 공연을 통해 두루미를 주제로 한 예술 작업을 선보여왔다. 또한, 순천 한중일 문화도시 두루미 융합 공연과 2023년 순천만국제정원박람회 흑두루미춤 다원 공연 10회 등 다양한 무대에서 활동하였다.

그의 작품은 프랑스 낭트시에서의 흑두루미춤 7회 공연(2019년/2023년), 2024년 베트남 달랏 국제학술대회, 중국 옌청 습지, 순천만, 전주, 이천 등 국내외에서 다수의 공연을 통해 두루미와 인간의 공존을 주제로 한 예술적 메시지를 전하고 있다.

2025년에는 몽골 두루미축제와 일본 고베 국제심포지움에서 흑두루미춤 공연을 예정하고 있으며, 두루미를 매개로 한 환경과 문화의 융합을 지속적으로 탐구하고 있다.

Jeon Yeong-guk is the director of the Crane Science and Art Center and a professor at the Department of Environmental Convergence Arts, Suncheon University. He has presented numerous original performances, including "Suncheon New Flower Dance", "Confession of the Black Crane", and "Motion Capture-based Black Crane Dance", focusing on the theme of cranes in his artistic works. He has also participated in various stages, such as the Suncheon Han-Chung-Japan Cultural City Crane Fusion Performance and 10 performances of the Black Crane Dance at the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo.

His works have been showcased both domestically and internationally, including 7 performances of the Black Crane Dance in Nantes, France (2019/2023), the 2024 Dalat International Conference in Vietnam, Yancheng Wetlands in China, Suncheon Bay, Jeonju, and Icheon, conveying artistic messages about the coexistence of cranes and humans.

In 2025, he is scheduled to perform the Black Crane Dance at the Mongolian Crane Festival and the Kobe International Symposium in Japan, continuing his exploration of the fusion of environment and culture through cranes.

서현호 KOPEAA        

서현호는 전남 곡성 출신으로, 현재 고향에서 주로 회화 작업을 하는 작가이다. 그는 조선대학교 미술학과 학사 및 대학원 미술학과를 졸업했으며, 지금까지 15회의 개인전과 다수의 단체전에 참여하였다. 최근에는 평면 회화뿐 아니라 조각, 설치에도 관심을 가지며 활동 범위를 넓히고 있으며, 최근에는 섬진강국제실험예술제를 통해 라이브 드로잉 퍼포먼스 작업을 확장하고 있다. 그는 다양한 소재를 활용하여 자신만의 실험적 작업 세계를 탐구한다. 그는 2023년 서울 G&J 갤러리에서 열린 ‘몸짓’ 전을 비롯하여 13회의 개인전을 진행하였으며, 현재 곡성에서 전업 작가로 활동하고 있다.

Seo Hyun-ho is an artist from Gokseong, Jeollanam-do, currently working primarily in his hometown. He graduates from Chosun University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts and has participated in 15 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions. Recently, he expands his practice beyond painting to include sculpture and installation, and has been developing live drawing performance work through the Seomjingang International Experimental Arts Festival. He explores his own experimental artistic world using a variety of materials.

He has held 13 solo exhibitions, including the 2023 “Gesture” exhibition at Seoul G&J Gallery, and continues to work as a full-time artist in Gokseong.

광주통기타촌 KOPEA Gwangju Acoustic Village 

광주 통기타촌은 2019년에 결성된 순수 아마추어 어쿠스틱 기타 동호인 모임으로, ‘젊음, 낭만, 사랑, 봉사’를 모토로 활동한다. 음악을 사랑하는 다양한 세대가 모여 각자의 재능을 나누고 성장하며, 음악을 매개로 공동체의 따뜻한 정서와 사회적 가치를 확산한다.

Gwangju Acoustic Guitar Village is an amateur acoustic guitar club founded in 2019 in Gwangju, Korea, operating under the motto “Youth, Romance, Love, Service.” Musicians of all ages gather to share their talents, grow together, and promote warm community spirit and social values through music.

The Village deepens its acoustic guitar practice through regular ensemble rehearsals and performances, and actively participates in local cultural events, charity concerts, and talent-sharing activities. 곡성풍물단 Gokseong Pungmul Troupe

곡성풍물단은 섬진강 마을들 속에서 오랜 세월 전해 내려온 농악의 맥을 이어가는 단체이다. 마을굿은 샤머니즘, 군악, 노동의 리듬이 어우러진 복합예술로, ‘천·지·인’의 합일을 꿈꾸는 삶의 형식이자 자연과 사람, 사람과 사람 사이의 조화를 되살리는 공동체적 예술이다. 곡성풍물단은 단순히 무대에 머무르지 않고, 마을과 들녘, 삶의 현장에서 전통의 생명력을 되살리며 공연을 펼친다.

이번 2025섬진강국제실험예술제에서 곡성풍물단은 전통을 바탕으로 오늘의 감각을 담은 ‘살아 있는 굿’과 ‘열려 있는 신명’을 선보일 예정이다.

Gokseong Pungmul Troupe continues the long-standing tradition of pungmul (Korean folk percussion) in the villages along the Seomjingang River. Village rituals combine shamanism, military music, and labor rhythms, embodying a form of life that seeks the harmony of heaven, earth, and humans, and serving as a communal art that restores balance between nature and people, and among people themselves.

The troupe does not stay confined to the stage but brings the vitality of tradition to villages, fields, and everyday life.

시창다화는 시, 노래, 차, 그림을 사랑하는 20여 명의 예술인이 모인 모임이다. 시(詩), 창(唱), 다(茶), 화(畵)를 중심으로, 예술과 일상을 연결하며 풍류의 삶을 무대 위로 구현한다.

시창다화는 시낭송, 음악 연주, 차 예법, 미술 퍼포먼스를 결합하여 관객과 함께 교감하며, 각자의 재능을 통해 예술적 풍류를 나눈다. 한희원 미술관, 야외 공연장, 다양한 전시·공간에서 공연하며, 단순한 공연을 넘어 삶과 예술이 어우러지는 체험을 선사한다.

SiChangDaHwa (詩唱茶畵) is an artistic collective of over 20 members who share a love for poetry, singing, tea, and painting. Centered on Si (poetry), Chang (song), Da (tea), Hwa (painting), the group brings the essence of a cultured, harmonious life to the stage.

SiChangDaHwa combines poetry recitals, musical performances, tea rituals, and visual arts to create interactive experiences with audiences. Performing in spaces such as the Han Hee-won Art Museum, outdoor venues, and exhibitions, the collective transforms performance into a holistic experience where art and life intertwine.

강빛중창단 KOPEAA        

강빛중창단은 전남 곡성군 주민으로 구성된 남녀 혼성 중창단으로, 2016년에 창단되어 지역에서 꾸준히 활동하고 있다. 현재 10명의 단원이 참여하며, 일상 속 음악의 즐거움을 전하는 ‘생활 속 예술가’로 활약한다.

2017년부터 곡성세계장미축제, 강빛마을 어울림 축제, 마을 경로당 순회공연 등 다양한 지역 행사에 참여하며, ‘가요 같은 가곡, 가곡 같은 가요’를 모토로 클래식과 대중가요의 경계를 허물고 누구나 즐길 수 있는 무대를 선보인다. 세대를 아우르는 선곡과 따뜻한 하모니로 지역 주민들에게 위로와 즐거움을 전하며, 음악을 매개로 한 정서적 연대와 지역 문화적 자긍심을 높이는 데 기여하고 있다. 강빛중창단은 ‘작지만 빛나는 음악’을 통해 지역사회를 따뜻하게 물들이고 있다.

Gangbit Chamber Choir is a mixed-gender vocal ensemble composed of residents of Gokseong, Jeollanam-do, founded in 2016. The 10-member choir actively brings the joy of music into everyday life as “everyday artists.”

Since 2017, the choir has participated in events such as the Gokseong World Rose Festival, Gangbit Village Harmony Festival, and local community performances. With the motto “songs like art songs, art songs like songs,” the ensemble blends classical music and popular songs, creating accessible and enjoyable performances for all.

Through intergenerational repertoire and warm harmonies, Gangbit Chamber Choir delivers comfort and joy to the community, strengthens emotional bonds through music, and fosters local cultural pride. Their “small but radiant music” brings warmth and vitality to the region.

조유경 Jo Yu-kyung

조유경은 전통 한지와 캘리그라피를 기반으로 문자와 조형의 예술을 탐구하는 예술가이자 교육자이다. 예원예술대학교 문화예술대학원 미술학과 석사 과정을 마쳤으며, (사)한국문화예술디자인협회 이사장과 문화예술디자인평생교육원 원장으로 활동하며 전통과 현대를 잇는 감성 예술을 펼치고 있다.

Jo Yu-kyung is an artist and educator who explores the art of writing and form based on traditional Hanji paper and calligraphy. She completed her master's degree in Fine Arts at Yeowon University Graduate School of Culture and Arts and serves as the president of the Korea Cultural Arts Design Association and the director of the Cultural Arts Design Lifelong Education Center, bridging traditional and contemporary emotional art.

She presents calligraphy performances that showcase the living movement of brush and Hanji on stage, engaging with the audience. Additionally, she serves as a judge for the Gwangju Metropolitan City Art Exhibition and the Mudeung Art Exhibition, communicating her works with audiences through Korean aesthetic sensibilities.
