황금빛 들판과 논두렁을 거대한 무대로 전환하는 가을의 시그니처 대지예술
A signature land-art project of autumn, transforming golden fields and rice paddy ridges into a vast open stage
가을의 논과 논두렁이라는 농촌의 생산 공간을 런웨이로 전환하는 장소 특정형 대지예술 프로젝트이다.
농업의 현장을 단순한 배경으로 소비하지 않고, 한 해 동안 축적된 농민의 노동과 시간, 땅의 생산성을 예술적
가치로 다시 바라보는 데 목적이 있다.
지역 어린이와 시니어, 전문 예술가들은 자연 소재와 농촌의 이미지를 바탕으로 제작된 의상을 입고 황금빛 논
위를 걷는다. 패션과 퍼포먼스, 농업 경관이 하나의 장면 안에서 교차하며 도시 중심의 패션 시스템과는 다른
농촌형 미학을 제안한다.
〈논두렁 패션쇼〉는 농촌의 일상과 노동을 동시대 예술의 언어로 전환함으로써, 곡성의 농업적 정체성과 생태적
장소성을 새로운 문화적 자산으로 확장하려는 실험이다.
A site-specific land-art project that transforms the productive landscape of autumn rice fields and paddy ridges into a runway.
Rather than treating farmland merely as a scenic backdrop, the project seeks to rediscover the farmers’ labor and time accumulated
throughout the year, as well as the productive power of the land, as artistic values in their own right.
Local children, senior participants, and professional artists walk through the golden rice fields wearing costumes inspired by natural
materials and rural imagery. Fashion, performance, and the agricultural landscape intersect within a single scene, proposing a distinctly
rural aesthetic beyond the conventions of the urban-centered fashion system.
Rice Paddy Fashion Show transforms the everyday life and labor of rural communities into the language of contemporary art,
expanding Gokseong’s agricultural identity and ecological sense of place into new cultural possibilities.
